This park is also the only place in northern Tanzania where you can easily spot the black-and-white colobus monkey.

One of the popular safari activities in this national park is a canoe or walking safari with an armed ranger. A great chance to enjoy wildlife up close, from a different perspective than sitting in a safari vehicle.

Herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking or enjoying a mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around these swamps, you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs and even tree-climbing pythons.

Day 6-8: Serengeti National Park

Today you continue your safari in the Serengeti national park. Its stunning landscape can be seen in some of the most impressive nature documentaries. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your private guide, you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.

If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On this route, there will be a high chance of seeing a lot of wildlife. After arriving at the crater rim you will descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. The views are amazing! This collapsed volcano creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is full of elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

Day 10-14: Zanzibar

Unwind and enjoy laid-back beach life on the tropical Zanzibar Island. Miles and miles of white sandy beaches dotted with palm trees, surrounded by the clear azure water of the Indian Ocean. These days are at leisure with no activities planned. You can explore the amazing coral reefs and swim among tropical reef fish. The beautiful beaches offer plenty of opportunities for surfers, snorkelers, divers and sunbathers.
